We encourage you to use this resource to visit the places and experience the activities that represent the history, arts, technology, industry, and cultural diversity that West Virginia offers through its more than 300 museums.If you are associated with a West Virginia museum in any way, this site can provide you with valuable resources and a network of support from other museums professionals.

The mission of the West Virginia Association of Museums is to: "serve, educate, advocate for, and enhance communications within the museum community." By listening to its members, serving their interests, and keeping the members abreast of current standards and activities on a national scale WVAM works to benefit the institutions, professionals, volunteers, and others interested in the museums of the Mountain State. We invite your input and involvement.
